Woking Library April 2019

This month we read 'Below Zero' by Dan Smith

Twelve-year-old Zak is plane-wrecked on an abandoned research outpost in the Antarctic with his sister and parents. Here, a series of nightmarish occurrences and bizarre visions suggest a link to something else - a presence beneath the ice - which only Zak can understand ...Not one for the faint hearted, especially if you suffer from arachnophobia!
This book was well liked by the group.
We designed a poster for Antarctica, and worked out what things we should take for our trip to the frozen south pole.
The group then did a 'treasure hunt' for clues from the book around the library. They are getting very good at this now and were able to find the clues and work out the hidden word much too quickly!
